The Allan House, Austin, TeXas | Westcott Weddings

When Katherine and Taylor began wedding planning, Katherine knew right away she wanted a romantic garden-party reception. Taylor knew he wanted live music (he is a musician after all). The result was a perfect summer soirée—starting with a traditional Catholic wedding ceremony at St. Mary Cathedral and ending with a packed dance floor under string lights and sprawling oak trees.

The Allan House, an elegant victorian mansion in downtown Austin, offered a timeless backdrop for the wedding reception. Guests were greeted with mezcal margaritas on the stately wraparound porch while a string trio (Taylor’s pick) played in the background. After enjoying a carefully crafted dinner and heartfelt toasts, Katherine and Taylor kicked things off with their first dance—a two-step number played live in honor of the couple's first date two-stepping at the White Horse. Everything about this day felt intentional—not just the impeccable design choices, but also the time these two took to consciously connect with their family, friends, and most importantly, each other. The joy was truly palpable.
